CBN Operational Guidelines for Licensing and Regulation of Payment Services Holding Companies

 

INTRODUCTION

On December 9, 2020, the CBN communicated new licence re-categorizations in

the Nigerian Payments System to prevent co-mingling of payment services,

enhance risk management measures and improve the efficiency of the Nigerian

Payments System.

This brief highlights salient provisions of the operational guidelines for the

licensing and regulation of Payment Services Holding Companies (PSHC) in
